I have never not loved a book you have recommended Emmie. Braiding Sweetgrass and Mirrors in the Earth are now my favourite all time books. Thank you for some new (to me) recommendations in this list x

Thank you for these book recommendations & descriptions of them & your relationship to them! I was actually honored to hear Kilmer talk about her life and Braiding sweetgrass this past week at a local college. It was a gentle yet powerful reminder of our belonging to one another. We are all “kin”

I love my time spent in the deep rest salon so much. 🤍

Oh I love this idea of book recommendations so much! I bought the Book of Symbols based on your recommendation and I am in love with it, so thank you! And regarding reading books you don’t necessarily agree with everything in them- I feel the same way! I was just telling someone the other day that I think when we completely shut down towards someone just because we disagree on one topic, we still might miss out on something this person could teach us. We are complex creatures. This was regarding a meditation teacher I really love but who has political views I completely disagree with. But I don’t follow this person for his opinions and suggestions on politics, I only follow the meditation teachings and the amazing interviews he has with other really amazing people. And I have found those teachings EXTREMELY valuable!!! I would have really missed out if I hadn’t been able to look past my disagreement.

Oh Emmie! Love this so much. Can we please start a reading-while-listening-to-music-while-eating-miso-soup-and-taking-rest-seriously-club? 🤪Currently drinking hot chocolate for breakfast and reading ‚Goodnight, Tokyo’ from Atsuhiro Yoshida - unfortunately I don’t think an English translation is available yet.
