In a world of endless links and amazon storefronts and paid partnerships it’s not lost on me how out of control the overconsumption problem is.

But the truth remains: I love precious, beautiful things.

Especially the ones that bring a little joy and magic to the everyday.

In a world of mindless linking, I crave true, heartfelt recommendations and favourites, and as someone who can spend YEARS (honestly) waiting to buy that thing I really adore, I love to share the items that were worth waiting for.

And yes, my stats tell me people who read these newsletters love reading about them too ;)

So, may this serve as a gift guide for yourself, or the people you love.

And a reminder that waiting to buy the thing we really want, where possible, is often cheaper and kinder on the planet than buying a less expensive, or only-because-its-on sale version that you’ll replace sooner, won’t last, or quickly become tired of.

Less really is more.

A note:

Most of these items were not actually purchased this year. A couple were gifts. Some I consider as investments. These are simply the items I loved living with in 2023, and am glad I invested in. You’ll see my reasons below :)

Please share yours in the comments below, if you feel called.
